Damian Fearns.
Trainer, Coach, Consultant
Brighton
For over 25 years, Damian has taught, trained, and supported others in their development. He studied psychology at undergraduate level, then began his career working closely with a deeply autistic child, helping him develop communication strategies to replace self-harm and aggression. That experience taught him patience, adaptability, and resilience, qualities that have shaped his work ever since.

He has worked with people struggling with addiction, trained others in similar work, and later moved into public health leadership, driving behaviour change initiatives and tackling health inequalities, often within under-budgeted, unrealistically targeted services in a constant state of change. That experience gave him a close understanding of the pressures organisations, teams, and individuals face in high-pressure environments, and what it takes to sustain high performance under those conditions.

Much of his UK work remains within the charity and statutory sectors, including mental health services, the NHS, housing associations, homeless charities, and hospices. For over a decade, he has also worked as a trainer and coach with TNM Coaching, developing leaders and transforming workplace culture in global organisations including Maersk, Nokia, and UPM.
He is trained in solution-focused therapy, person-centred counselling, and motivational interviewing, as well as three forms of coaching: GROW, Integral Coaching, and Evolutionary Coaching.

Damian is currently interested in how people and organisations can adapt to the AI revolution in a way that remains deeply human, keeping values, ethics, and human nature at the forefront of the world being created. He is currently writing a book on this and human intelligence, exploring the uniquely human abilities we often overlook, and how we might apply them for healthier, more meaningful living.

He finds a deep sense of meaning in seeing the bigger picture, helping others develop, and continuing to challenge and grow himself. He lives in East Sussex with his dog, Bobby, and enjoys time in nature, cooking with friends, and making music.

That’s Damian.
