Hendrik spent 28 years as an engineer designing safety systems. Seatbelts, to be precise, the mechanisms that protect people's bodies in the moments that matter most.

And then he discovered that feeling safe, truly safe, psychologically, emotionally, humanly, matters just as much. Just as life-giving. Just as worthy of the same rigour and care.

It wasn't a sudden pivot. As a project manager working with international clients and teams around the world, he was already fascinated by what made people work well together. He had been delivering NVC-informed leadership workshops inside his company and on open courses for years. The inner work was already underway.

When he retrained as a coach, ICF certified through TNM Coaching, NVC trainer, and moved into consulting and leadership development, field-proven through Shell Rheinland, it felt less like a career change and more like an arrival.

Hendrik believes that work should make people feel fully alive, at work and at home, as whole human beings. And that feeling safe is the foundation of everything else.

He works in German and English.
When he's not working, you'll find him dancing Salsa and Tango, or kite surfing on the Ostsee, and quite possibly somewhere around the world, patiently encouraging Isabelle to find the courage to keep trying to learn too.
That's Hendrik.
